Jodi O'Donnell
Jodi O'Donnell grew up one of fourteen
children in small-town Iowa. As a result, she loves to explore in her writing how family relationships
influence who and why we love as we do.
Years before she discovered there were
places to live where one could check the mail without putting on long johns, Jodi realized she wanted to be
a writer. For many years this dream took a back seat to the more immediate
needs of food and shelter. Yet she eventually found time to complete a
manuscript and sold her first book to Silhouette Books in 1992. She has written 13 books for Silhouette.
A USA Today best-selling author, Jodi has
been a finalist for the Romance Writers of America's RITA Award and is a past winner of RWA's Golden Heart
Award. Reviewers and readers have called Jodi's writing "lyric" and imbued
with "full and vibrant characterizations."
Jodi's interests include volunteering in the
Iowa/Illinois Quad Cities,
and she especially enjoys her work as a Big Sister for Big Brothers/Big
Sisters of the Quad-Cities. Jodi regularly talks about her life as a
writer in an interactive presentation with high school and elementary
students across Iowa for Iowa Public TV's "School to Careers" program.
After eighteen years away, Jodi returned in 1996 to her home state of
Iowa, where she now lives with her canine soul sisters, Rio and
Leia.
