Kristin Hardy
Book crazy her whole
life, Kristin Hardy started her first novel, about a boy and his
horse, at 12. The key word is ‘started.’ In the early 1980s,
she set her cap at becoming a romance writer. Several
three-to-four chapter fizzles later, in 2000, she decided that if
she was ever going to achieve her dream, she needed to actually
finish a book. The result, “My Sexiest Mistake,” sold to
Harlequin in a week, made the Waldenbooks bestseller list, won a
National Readers’ Choice Award, and debuted as a movie on
Oprah’s Oxygen Network last spring. Kristin currently writes for
Harlequin’s Blaze line, and, beginning fall 2005, for Silhouette
Special Edition. Her tenth book, “Where There’s Smoke,” hits
the shelves November 2005.
